Call for a follow-up to the Green Paper by the Commission

30 MEPs from six political groups and some independent MEPs have called on the Commission to provide a follow-up to the Green Paper on Ageing. Underlining the need for respect of older persons’ fundamental rights and non-discrimination for persons of all ages, the MEPs ask the Commission whether the Green Paper will be followed up by a White Paper, an Age Equality Strategy, or any other measure to complete the EU framework on non-discrimination.

EU Care Strategy should address people in need for care, informal carers and the care workforce – question by MEPs

A group of 32 MEPs has addressed a written question to the European Commission, asking for details about the European Care Strategy. The MEPs point out that according to a recent EU report, only one in three persons in need for care can actually access long-term care services. In September, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a European Care Strategy in her State of the Union Speech.

MEPs call on UEFA to embrace a campaign for intergenerational dialogue
